デリシャスおてて

猫が肉球を舐める姿を「デリシャスおてて」っていうそうなんですが、猫を飼って14年、「肉球うめえ」って呼んでた。

Apparently, when a cat licks its paw pads, some people call it “Derishasu otete.”
I’ve been a cat owner for 14 years, and I’ve always just called it “Nikukyuu umee.”

カメラ越し

猫ズにずっと若いイメージを持ってて「僕ちゃん」「ボーイ」「赤ちゃん」「天使ちゃん」と呼んでたんですがが外出先からペットカメラを通してみたら年相応に老猫で、なんかさみしい気持ちになります。

I’ve always thought of my cats as young and called them things like “my baby,” “boy,” and “little angel.” But when I saw them through the pet camera while I was out, they looked like the senior cats they actually are… and it made me feel a little lonely.

キャッチ拒否

猫が毛玉を吐きそうなとき、床とかを汚されないようにキャッチしようとするんですけど顔をそらしたりして絶対にキャッチさせてくれないあの行動、何なんですかね。

When my cat is about to cough up a hairball, I try to catch it to keep the floor clean, but they always turn their head away, making sure I never succeed. What’s up with that behavior?
